A glimpse of paradise at the end of the dirt road that leads to Poggio Mori, set on a knoll and suspended in the heart of the Tuscan countryside south of Siena, just outside the charming borgo of Sarteano, in an inimitable scenario of geometric patterns of extensive rows of vines and of a sea of olive trees that guard the property. In its centre appears the imposing structure of the 18th century farmhouse, now converted into a technologically-advanced luxury villa by architectural intervention of the highest quality. Protagonist is the exposed stone combined with wood and terracotta, in an impressive recycling of the past which has forged the present design, in which respect for local tradition combines with a fine choice of minimal and essential modernity, designed to offer guests all amenities for a perfect stay. The spacious rooms are a blaze of light, enhanced by the large windows in the living area and in the splendid bedrooms, super-equipped with private bathrooms; the furnishings, declined in the natural colours of wood, have plain and simple lines, geared to maximum functionality and efficiency. In an adjoining annex is a fitness area with gym equipment and a stupendous wellness area, equipped with sauna, Turkish bath and massage and treatment area (available on request). Outside, the beautiful panoramic pool, the bowling green, the cosy set-up areas and and the large green spaces will complement unforgettable days spent in the open air. Poggio Mori is the ideal choice for an exclusive stay in a charming, elegant residence that guarantees privacy and maximum tranquillity thanks to its secluded location and yet, at the same time, is very close to road and motorway links and is the perfect focal point, located between the southern Val di Chiana and the rough and wild Val d'Orcia, for exploring an amazing geographical region. Sarteano, with its architectural and naturalistic heritage and its impressive monuments within the old medieval town walls, is just ten minutes away but also not far away are the magnificent towns of Chiusi, Montepulciano, Pienza, Montalcino, Chianciano Terme, San Casciano dei Bagni and many other places of historical and artistic interest with their timeless charm. This prestigious property is part of an agritourism estate committed to organic farming with the best produce that Tuscany has to offer and which continues, in the modern age, to maintain the taste of authentic tradition: excellent extra-virgin olive oil and wine from autochthonous and allochthonous vines in the aromas of Sangiovese, Merlot and Cabernet which the owners will be delighted to offer for tasting in the fabulous multi-function room next to the house, along with other choice products like vinsanto (sweet white dessert wine), organic preserves and jams. Upon request, you can organize cooking lessons in the large professional kitchen or avail yourself of domestic staff and a chef for the entire stay.

Twenty-five acres of land delimit the immense spaces of this prosperous farm where stretches of olive trees alternate with vines, an orchard and a part of arable land for organic cultivation in the centre of which lies the beautiful park with oaks and cypresses surrounding the farmhouse and bordered by bushes of herbs. In the well-cared for garden, with the typical vegetation of the area, paved paths alternate with stone steps that run along two large ornamental pools; a wonderful corner of tranquillity for the guests, with fascinating panoramic views, where they can stroll through the abundant orchard or along the dirt roads of the property, play bowls in the field near the pool or just relax comfortably in the shade of the olive trees: the ideal setting for enjoying the peaceful rural atmosphere ensured by this magical context. The covered parking area is about 150 metres from the main entrance to the house and there is also a large parking area in front of the house.
The large rectangular infinity pool is situated in the park a few metres from the house: surrounded by a garrison of olive trees and by the vineyards of the property, it enjoys open views over the hilly countryside that crowns the horizon. The border and lining of the pool, accessed via Roman steps, is in travertine stone; it measures 22 x 4.5 m with a depth varying from 1.20 m to 1.60 m. On one side is the elegant travertine-paved sunbathing area, equipped with sunbeds, deckchairs and tables protected by large umbrellas. Close by is a hot and cold-water shower and down a flight of steps is a bathroom and refreshment area with minibar. A few steps away, shaded by a screen of oaks, is a regulation-size bowling green.
