Terra San Raffaele is an enchanting stone farmhouse located at the foot of Città della Pieve, in Umbria rich in countryside that offers picturesque scenery, a stone's throw from Tuscany and part of a farm that produces excellent certified organic oil. Upon your arrival, you will be welcomed by a park dominated from above by the view of the impressive walls of the historic center and cared for in every detail, with a private pool and a vegetable garden inspired by the “hortus conclusus”, a typical form of medieval garden linked mainly to monasteries and convents. The same attention to detail can be found inside the rooms with a strong character of bright colors, in the contamination between furniture from the 50s and 60s reinterpreted in a modern key, antique furniture from the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, traditional tools with a new way of use such as the dressing table made from a sewing machine, ethnic furniture and precious original terracotta coverings and, in one of the bathrooms, with ancient majolica from a Neapolitan collection. Comfortable living room and kitchen with fireplace, both with French windows that open onto the porch and the pergola covered with fragrant wisteria, as well as the beautiful bedrooms that are generously granted the landscape. In an annex near the main house live the kind and discreet caretakers who will take care of the cleaning of the house and the maintenance of the garden and pool, available for any needs and needs of the guests, but with full respect for their privacy. Just 10 minutes away, the nearby Città della Pieve is the birthplace of one of the most important painters of the Italian Renaissance: Pietro Vannucci known as “Perugino” and still has some of his most important works. More generally, the location of the residence favors the visit of the most important tourist centers in central Italy and stations and highways will guide you to Orvieto, Cortona, Assisi, Montepulciano, Arezzo, Perugia and Siena.

Interiors:
The house is spread over two floors connected to each other both internally by a terracotta staircase and externally by a stone staircase. On the ground floor, you enter a large living room with dining area connected to the pergola, which overlooks the study and which communicates with a small hallway that leads to the kitchen that overlooks the porch, a bathroom with shower and a double bedroom with joinable beds. From the hallway you go up to the first floor consisting of a double bedroom with an additional single bed and en-suite bathroom with bathtub, two double bedrooms, one with a divisible bed and a kitchenette equipped with a washing machine, which share a bathroom with shower and a double bedroom with an added double sofa bed, kitchenette and en-suite bathroom with shower.
Park:
The park at the disposal of Terra San Raffaele, a garden with lots of greenery inserted in an estate with 6 hectares of forest and 3 of olive groves, is distributed on three terraces with gently hilly terrain and is 2000 square meters in size. A perfect layout of the equipped areas makes it usable in all its spaces. Starting from the porch furnished with table and chairs and the pergola, which together occupy an entire side of the house and from which you can enjoy the view of Monte Cetona, you move on to the delightful circular gazebo with rattan sofas that is located not far away, up to the lively outdoor dining area with built-in barbecue where you can admire Città della Pieve in all its glory. Eating outdoors, reading a good book, sipping fresh appetizers or tasting seasonal vegetables from the organic garden (made available to guests on request) and cherries, plums, apples from the small orchard surrounded by olive trees, oaks, cypresses, delicate roses, violet flowers of agapanto, with the scent of sage, rosemary, lavender and wisteria, everything will take on a different flavor in a garden that also includes among its comforts a gravel parking area a step away from the villa, a soccer field Grass and two spaces game for children including a gym even for adults. Inside the property there is also the chicken coop and in a secluded corner of the garden, about 50 meters from the house, a small enclosure houses the owner's four small dogs that in no way will disturb you during your stay. In the annex near the main house live the caretakers, who are in charge of cleaning the house and the maintenance of the garden and pool. N.B.: Please note that the photo shoots are usually carried out in spring, so the colors and blooms of the gardens, lawns and parks may be different when you enter the villa.
Pool:
A short stepped staircase that runs through the garden leads to the fenced pool (with metal mesh and with access from two gates), which can be heated if necessary, placed lower than the house in a beautiful panoramic position. Its shape is rectangular and measures 5 x 14 m with a depth ranging from 1 m to 1.50 m. A Roman staircase gives access to the salt-purified tub, covered in PVC, equipped with a thermal cover for the night and lighting system. Inside there is also a hydromassage station. In the solarium, partly paved with terracotta and partly with lawn, you can use sun loungers, an outdoor shower with both cold and hot water thanks to a solar panel, umbrellas and a practical masonry structure shaded by a gazebo with a sink and a built-in barbecue. On the side of the gazebo, a short ramp leads to a bathroom for the exclusive use of the pool with toilet and double shower. The pool will remain available to guests from the last Saturday in April until the first Saturday in October.
