Villa Terra di Siena is set in the countryside a few kilometres from the town; backdrop to the villa is the unmistakable Tuscan landscape, typical of the Chianti area, with olive trees, rows of vines and cypresses. The construction of the villa dates back to the 15th century, first as an old monastery and later as a farm. Its rich and evocative history still reflects today its ancient charm. Once past the surrounding walls, you come to a large internal courtyard around which are all the entrances to the various parts composing the villa. Within its exposed stone shell, ultra-modern rooms coexist with an old-fashioned touch: rustic-style finishes, real wood floors, exposed ceiling beams and restored furniture. The air-conditioned bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, the fully-equipped kitchen, the welcoming living areas, the games and music rooms are the soul of the villa. Interior:
The property is composed of a main farmhouse and an adjoining annex located in the pool area. FARMHOUSE (spread over three levels) - FIRST FLOOR -Entrance from a covered portico into a hallway: on one side, dining room and kitchen; on the other, a sitting area and study corner; one twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub; one double bedroom with external access and en-suite bathroom with shower. SECOND FLOOR - One double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with shower; one master bedroom with walk-in wardrobe and en-suite bathroom with shower; music room. Down a few steps: Living room with table and ornamental fireplace and external access; one double bedroom; one bathroom with shower and laundry room with washing machine and dryer; one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with bathtub and shower. GROUND FLOOR - Billiards room; one bathroom with shower (also accessible from the pool area and internal staircase). Accessible from the courtyard and from the back of the villa there are a gym, a wine tasting room, a further laundry room, a kitchen with direct access to the portico with dining table and barbecue. ANNEX - Living space with mini fridge; a bathroom with shower.
Air conditioning in the bedroom (except in the twin bedroom on the first floor where there is floor fan).
Park:
The completely-fenced property extends for about 2.5 hectares with approximately 450 olive trees, several rows of vines, a small wooded area, a laurel hedge next to the swimming pool and, further on, flourishing fruit trees. The majestic oak in the parking area has given the name to the courtyard of the villa. The ornamental plants located in the courtyard enrich and colour the corners of the house. The climbing bougainvillea has green and violet flowers while the fragrant jasmine is green and white. In front of the swimming pool is a tiled terrace equipped with table and chairs. Extending along the south side of the villa is the portico, with table and chairs for breakfast and a pleasant sitting area and with, in front, a stone path between holm oaks and oaks. A short walk in the shade leads to the tennis court with basketball area, a backboard and hoop, and a football area equipped with a goal post.Please notice that photos are taken in spring, therefore flower blossoming, and the colours of the gardens' grass could be different at the moment of your arrival at the villa.
Swimming Pool:
The swimming pool, located a few steps from the villa and protected by a laurel hedge, measures 13.4 x 4.5 m with the depth varying from 1 to 2 m. Lined with porcelain stoneware, it has internal lighting, chlorine purification and Roman steps for access to the water. The surrounding solarium is equipped with sunbeds, umbrellas and a solar shower by the pool. Next to the pool is a comfortable pool house, complete with bathroom with shower and mini fridge. Outside, a cozy seating area invites guests to relax and fully enjoy the atmosphere of the pool area. The pool is available from mid April to mid October (not heated).
Tennis-court:
The tennis court is located 50 m from the farmhouse, the flooring is in synthetic grass. It is fenced and with regular measures. At guests' disposal there are rackets. It is also equipped with a basketball area consisting of a backboard and a net and a football area with a goal with a net.
Pets: Yes, small size only, € 100,00 per animal per week. Acceptance of animals to the facility must be previously authorised by the owner upon communication of the number of animals, size and breed.
