Villa Ardente is an old farmhouse immersed in the tranquillity of the Abruzzo countryside in the municipality of Bellante, a few kilometres from the Adriatic coast. A former 16th century farmhouse, as evidenced by a stone plaque engraved in the wall and dated 1561, it has recently undergone careful restoration and renovation where an attempt has been made to maintain as much as possible the characteristics of the old architectural structure, consisting of the old farmhouse and its stables, and to recreate the old atmosphere but with modern comforts. Vaulted brick ceilings with wooden beams, walls highlighting the antique, skilfully-restored stone, handmade terracotta floors with tiles dating back to the 1600s, are the finishes adopted in the choices of this renovation, with the aim of maintaining as much as possible a trace of what once was. The large open-plan kitchen and dining area open to the outside, thanks to the French windows that directly overlook the garden, a few metres from the pool, creating a constant union between indoors and outdoors. The rooms are bright and furnished with modern furniture, such as the large living room characterised by light-coloured sofas gathered around a large TV screen. From the large terraces on the first floor, the view sweeps from the coast to the massifs of the Abruzzo mountains on the horizon, offering the beauty of both landscapes, marine and mountain, that characterise this region of Italy. The villa enjoys absolute privacy and tranquillity and is ten minutes from the hamlet of Bellante Stazione, where all useful services, shops, supermarkets and restaurants can be found.
