The Badia
Badia di Campoleone is an ancient historical residence located on a hill by a bend of the Arno river in the town of Castelluccio, 8 km far from Arezzo and surrounded by five hectares of park.
In the main villa there are 24 rooms: on the first floor the suites are decorated with frescoes representing scenes of bucolic life and enchanted woods. On the upper floors, once reserved for the servants, large rooms have been created with private bathroom.
The annexes of the villa, the ancient barns and stables, have been transformed into 14 apartments equipped with every comfort.
The structure has a swimming pool with solarium, a tennis court, a 5-a-side football pitch and a large hall ideal for meetings and conventions.
The garden features a raised vegetable garden: here the recipes of the restaurant come to life.

The surroundings
Badia di Campoleone is an oasis of tranquillity, even though there are places of artistic and cultural interest nearby.
Just 8 km away we meet Arezzo, a town full of architecture and art. Following a walking itinerary through the city you can admire Piazza Grande and the Palazzo delle Logge, the Basilica of San Francesco with the frescoes by Piero della Francesca, the Duomo and the Petrarca’s house.
Arezzo was the location of Roberto Benigni's famous Oscar-winning film "Life is beautiful": within the walls of the old city it is possible to follow an itinerary to discover the places of the film.
Not far from Badia di Campoleone there is also the so-called Ponte della Gioconda: it seems that the landscape designed by the Arno river in the Arezzo countryside and the Roman-style bridge in Buriano which still today crosses the river inspired Leonardo da Vinci for the background of the famous painting.
